Daily Information From Cornwall For Cornwall

Over five years of supplying online and offline daily information.

Around Cornwall Reports

Intended to create a balance between forecast weather and actual conditions for the UK's largest regional coastline. We have, in Cornwall, micro-climates which make weather forecasting problematic at times. Whether you are working or relaxing the reports are designed to give that extra information which should help make planning a day easier. The best examples are: mist/fog giving a dull morning - a few miles up the road there may be glorious sunshine. Wind strength and direction - a significant factor - big variations around the county are not infrequent. Sea conditions may be vital information for the many professional and leisure users of the Cornish coast.

National Coastwatch Institution Stations

Includes the UK's mainland most southerly and westerly points. Reports currently come from:

  • St Ives
  • Cape Cornwall
  • Gwennap Head
  • Penzance
  • Bass Point
  • Polruan
  • Rame Head

From Boscastle on the north coast and along the west and south coasts of Cornwall there are National Coastwatch Institution Stations - staffed stations where you can get information and assistance or report situations where people may be in difficulty.

British International Helicopters

Penzance and Isles of Scilly

Not only do BIH supply very accurate weather information but the number of flights they run daily can be an indication of how busy Cornwall is.

Truly a lifeline to the isles of Scilly because they can fly when sea conditions are too rough for crossings and winds too strong for fixed wing aircraft.

British International operates the only two-destination air service to the fabulous Isles of Scilly. This service, the longest running scheduled helicopter service in the world, flies daily (except Sundays) to St Mary's and Tresco and offers fast efficient flights throughout the year. The aircraft, two Sikorsky S61-N helicopters, allow the passenger stunning views of the west Penwith peninsular and western approaches whilst transporting them in comfort to their archipelago destination. British International offers a range of flight packages to suit all, including organised parties. Tel: 01736 364296
