Outline tide and moon information for February 2012

Moon in February: New Moon 21st, First Quarter 1st, Full Moon 8th, Last Quarter 15th.
The moon is a principal factor in the state of tides. New and full moons will yield spring tides, first or last quarter neap tides. Springs are very high and very low, neaps moderate movement. Low spring tides will give plenty of beach space available or foreshore to explore. On high spring tides there will be a minimum of beach space and foreshore available.
