by is the geographical landmark of Cape Cornwall, the only Cape in England.
On its south side is Priests Cove, one of numerous coves along this stretch
of coastline, from where local boats fish for crab and lobster. Beyond
Priests Cove is the beautiful cot valley with its tumbling stream which
runs down to the sea at Porthnanven. A mile offshore here, rising over
100 feet above the sea, are the Brison Rocks, which have been the scene
of many shipwrecks. The moors of Penwith are rich in iron and bronze age relics dating back to 4000BC. Tregeseal Stone Circle, Lanyon Quoit, Men-an-tol and Chysauster Iron Age Village are all close by. Situated on the Heritage coast in an area of outstanding natural beauty this is an ideal base from which to explore the Lands End Peninsula. St Ives, Penzance, St Michael's Mount and Lands End are all a short distance away. |
The Boscean Country Hotel is located amidst some of the most dramatic scenery in West Cornwall and is somewhere very special just waiting to be discovered. The natural gardens, nearly 3 acres, are well established and a haven for wildlife including foxes and badgers.
This country house offers a wonderful combination of oak panelled walls, a magnificent oak staircase and open log fires.
