Miracle Theatre Company tours productions of classic works and new writing; funny, highly visual and intensely dramatic. It is one of the most popular professional theatre companies in the South West UK with a reputation for entertaining, intelligent, very funny and often startlingly original theatre that builds instant rapport with audiences.
“Absolutely loved it - very brave, VERY funny and very touching. The cast were superb and the adaptation very stylish.” Audience email, The Taming of the Shrew, Sept 08
“a fast-moving, highly entertaining feast of gender bending, cross-dressing, and general dissembling of the sort Will would have loved. But the play’s heart remains intact, and the story of a delinquent daughter/sister becoming a wife, who learns new behaviour to earn the love she craves, is played out with tenderness as well as hilarity.” The Stage, Sept 08
In Summer, the company visits spectacular ancient sites, gardens and castles, bringing the unique and memorable experience of live theatre to people of all ages. The Miracle team takes to the road again in Spring and Autumn visiting small-scale venues all over the UK with the colourful and well crafted productions that have built a reputation as “Some of the cleverest comic shows seen anywhere”.
The touring company consists of 5/6 performers and crew, travelling with full set, lights, sound and costumes. Miracle adapts to venues of all shapes and sizes, and the shows are generally suitable for audiences of all ages.
Miracle Theatre Company is recurrently funded by Arts Council England and The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
